Must-Have: RN Patient Care experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse group of patients with varying health problems from simple to complex.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; update any changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor patients' physiological data and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care and interact with patients and their families to share and discuss care plans.
- Inform patients and their families about hospital procedures and make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Basic computer skills.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing.
