Job Title: School Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team at ProCare Therapy in Lake Havasu Unified District, AZ.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. As a key member of our educational community, you will collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to promote a positive learning environment and ensure the well-being of all students.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to support educational planning and interventions.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and community stakeholders to address students' individual needs and develop effective intervention strategies.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing behavioral, emotional, or social difficulties.
  • Support the implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and other school-wide initiatives aimed at fostering a positive school climate.
  • Serve as a resource for teachers and staff regarding behavior management techniques, learning strategies, and mental health concerns.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on special education eligibility and services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and consultations.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid Arizona School Psychologist certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience in conducting psychological assessments and interpreting assessment results.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide effective counseling and crisis intervention services to students and families.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with research-based practices in school psychology.
