Job Summary

The Store Leader is responsible for the day-to-day store operation of their assigned store, as well as the employees. This includes interviewing, selecting, and training employees; setting and adjusting employee pay and hours of work; directing the work of employees; appraising employee productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status; disciplining employees; planning the work; determining the type of materials, supplies to be used or ordered for their retail and food locations.

Responsibilities

The Store Leader is responsible for the overall management of the day-to-day store operations at their assigned location. This includes regularly directing the work of their subordinates, providing guidance to ensure that all operational goals and initiatives are met. The Store Leader is also responsible for overseeing the Food Service Leaders in stores with Food Service to ensure that they meet all of the overall functions of being a profitable food service business. Additionally, the Store Leader is responsible for providing superior and quality customer service through consistent interaction, serving as a role model to store personnel. The Store Leader is also responsible for accurately completing daily reports and reviewing daily close reports. Furthermore, the Store Leader is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of inventory values in regards to shrink. The Store Leader is also responsible for setting and adjusting employee pay records, and hours worked. The Store Leader is also responsible for daily bank deposits, ordering and picking up change orders and ATM funds, loading safe, ATM, etc. The Store Leader is also responsible for determining what is needed for merchandise, supplies, equipment, food service, and places weekly orders. The Store Leader is also responsible for scanning in orders/vendors and building relationships with the vendors at their assigned location. The Store Leader is also responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and disciplining all store personnel, including the completion of documentation. The Store Leader is also responsible for planning, preparing, and posting store personnel work schedules. The Store Leader is also responsible for daily timecard edits and verifying the accuracy of hours worked and entering vacation hours for store personnel. The Store Leader is also responsible for supervision of all employees, Associate Store Leaders, Food Service Store Leaders, and shifts, by assigning and verifying completion of job duties. The Store Leader is also responsible for facilitating coverage of shifts when employees call in or don't show up. The Store Leader is also responsible for ensuring compliance of store personnel with policies and procedures, including established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices. The Store Leader is also responsible for merchandising the store according to company guidelines. The Store Leader is also responsible for timely execution of marketing promotions and price changes. The Store Leader is also responsible for executing company standards for mystery shop programs. The Store Leader is also responsible for managing their assigned store's labor budgets and adjusting employees pay/time and the hours worked. The Store Leader is also responsible for maintaining fuel pricing compliance standards to ensure competitive street pricing. Duties include changing fuel price sign and the registers.
