Your expertise will be essential in fostering relationships through exceptional customer service while upholding evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead peer review processes within nursing and clinical departments
- Oversee the initial assessment, investigation, and resolution of risk events
- Deliver on-the-spot education to staff when discrepancies are noted
- Conduct compliance tracers to meet regulatory standards
- Perform patient and unit rounds
- Execute proactive risk evaluations and thorough analyses, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Implement High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles in all activities
- Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes
- Extract data from medical records for risk and quality metrics
- Input data into relevant databases
- Facilitate multidisciplinary teams to enhance outcomes
- Ensure proper documentation is completed on current patient records
- Maintain a professional demeanor and confidence with stakeholders
- Support hospital certification and accreditation initiatives
- Ensure adherence to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
- Assist in accreditation or regulatory evaluations
- Perform additional duties as required
- Understanding of clinical processes and healthcare documentation
- Proficiency in Google Docs/Sheets, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Strong communication and analytical thinking abilities
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and engage in critical thinking
- Familiarity with Google Slides and/or PowerPoint
- Awareness of regulatory compliance and accreditation standards (e.g., CMS, The Joint Commission)
- Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence
- Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program or possession of a Bachelor's Degree
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
- Five years of clinical experience
- Current RN license in good standing in the State of Kansas or a Compact License State
- Certification as a Healthcare Quality Professional (CPHQ) or Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional (HACP)
