Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental prophylaxis, and assisting dentists with procedures. Responsibilities- Work closely with dentists to carry out recommended clinical treatments, such as scaling and polishing to prevent and control periodontal disease.
- Participate in the dental treatment of patients by performing dental prophylaxis, applying topical fluorides, examining teeth, and assisting dentists with procedures.
- Make radiographs and process them, as well as evaluate developed radiographs.
- Administer minor treatments under the supervision of the dentist.
- Chart patient needs, present problems, medical and dental health history, tooth charting, and review social history.
- Review treatment recommendations with patients and manage patient hygiene regimens.
- Take and record vital signs prior to rendering dental care.
- Assist in the development of prevention programs for patients.
- Share maintenance and sterilization duties.
- Attend office training and meetings, as well as continuing education classes.
To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an accredited college or university Dental Hygiene program and currently licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin. Previous hygiene experience is preferred, with experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center a plus.
