Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental prophylaxis, and assisting dentists with procedures. Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with dentists to carry out recommended clinical treatments, such as scaling and polishing to prevent and control periodontal disease.
  2. Participate in the dental treatment of patients by performing dental prophylaxis, applying topical fluorides, examining teeth, and assisting dentists with procedures.
  3. Make radiographs and process them, as well as evaluate developed radiographs.
  4. Administer minor treatments under the supervision of the dentist.
  5. Chart patient needs, present problems, medical and dental health history, tooth charting, and review social history.
  6. Review treatment recommendations with patients and manage patient hygiene regimens.
  7. Take and record vital signs prior to rendering dental care.
  8. Assist in the development of prevention programs for patients.
  9. Share maintenance and sterilization duties.
  10. Attend office training and meetings, as well as continuing education classes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an accredited college or university Dental Hygiene program and currently licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin. Previous hygiene experience is preferred, with experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center a plus.
