About the Position:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Applied Trombone Professor to join our team at the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Applied Trombone to students at the college level.
  • Provide leadership to Mason's Trombone Studio, coordinating studio classes, on-campus and off-campus performances, and events.
  • Coordinate recruitment for the Trombone Studio.
  • Coordinate recitals and juries for the Trombone Studio.
  • Participate in Brass Area initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Music or equivalent professional experience.
  • Successful experience teaching at the college level.
  • Desire to work with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Established reputation as a professional artist with a documented portfolio of live performances and recordings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Music.
