About the Position:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Applied Trombone Professor to join our team at the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Applied Trombone to students at the college level.
- Provide leadership to Mason's Trombone Studio, coordinating studio classes, on-campus and off-campus performances, and events.
- Coordinate recruitment for the Trombone Studio.
- Coordinate recitals and juries for the Trombone Studio.
- Participate in Brass Area initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Music or equivalent professional experience.
- Successful experience teaching at the college level.
- Desire to work with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Established reputation as a professional artist with a documented portfolio of live performances and recordings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Music.
