Math Instructor

Overview:

The Temple Independent School District is seeking a highly qualified Math Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This position involves instructing students in math, providing guidance and support to ensure their academic success.

Job Summary:

• Instruct students in math concepts and skills
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet district curriculum standards
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Provide individualized support to students as needed

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
• Use technology and instructional materials to enhance teaching and learning
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student learning and adjust instruction accordingly
• Work with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional strategies

• Provide regular feedback and assessment to students
• Develop and implement interventions to support struggling students
• Encourage students to take ownership of their learning

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behavior and minimize disruptions
• Organize classroom materials and resources to facilitate efficient instruction

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
• Demonstrated competency in math subject area assigned
