Job Title: Advanced Practitioner

Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the effectiveness of our clinics by identifying patient care issues and providing recommendations for improvement.
  2. Assess patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and medical histories.
  3. Determine abnormal conditions by administering diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
  4. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  5. Perform therapeutic procedures, including injections, immunizations, and wound management.
  6. Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, wellness, and health maintenance.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  8. Protect patients and employees by complying with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  10. Develop and maintain a high-performing healthcare team by providing educational opportunities and experiential growth experiences.
Requirements:
  1. A Master's degree and certification by a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certifying body are required.
  2. BLS certification is also necessary.
  3. Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to meet quality standards and evaluate customer satisfaction.
  2. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  3. Proficiency in computerized information systems, including EMR.
  4. Understanding of relevant drugs, patient care aids, and medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment principles.
Expectations:
  1. Collaborate with other providers and healthcare practitioners to efficiently treat patients and plan coordinated dispositions.
  2. Prepare clear, complete, and accurate medical records for each patient under your care.
  3. Devote additional time as needed to attend to patients, complete paperwork, and perform administrative duties.
  4. Work collaboratively with other ConvenientMD-employed practitioners to develop daily work schedules, vacation time, and on-call schedules.
  5. Represent and promote the Centers' practice in all public and professional meetings, conferences, and interactions.
  6. Conduct yourself in a professional manner, communicate with others in a timely and respectful manner, and cooperate with colleagues and staff to facilitate high-quality patient care.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, with some bending and stooping required.
  2. Manual dexterity necessary for clinical requirements.
  3. Lifting up to 50lbs.
