The Operating Room Nurse is a vital member of the surgical team at TriStar Summit Medical Center, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital's mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, implementing individualized plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor vital signs, utilizing computerized documentation systems to record and communicate patient condition.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to educate patients and families on care plans and promote a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Make staff assignments based on patient need and acuity, serving as a clinical resource and role model for the team.
- Respond to requests for information and follow up on issues in a timely manner.
- Current TN RN License or compact licensure.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Experience working as an OR Circulator required.
TriStar Summit Medical Center is a 200-bed comprehensive facility serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties. We offer a full array of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women's services. Our hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center, providing leading-edge care for heart and stroke patients.
