ProCare Therapy is seeking an experienced Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team in Illinois. As a passionate advocate for students with special needs, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact and shape the future of special education through digital means.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
We are looking for a dedicated educator who can deliver virtual instruction to students with special needs, utilizing their strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to create effective strategies and accommodations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and fellow team members.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Proven experience in delivering virtual instruction to students with special needs.
- Strong understanding of IEPs and ability to create and implement effective strategies and accommodations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and fellow team members.
- Tech-savvy and proficient in utilizing virtual teaching platforms, educational software, and assistive technologies.
- Passionate about fostering inclusivity, empathy, and respect within the virtual learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
- Patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor are must-have qualities.
