Job Title: Medical Coding Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coding Compliance Specialist to join our team at Standard Technology. As a key member of our Coding Program Office support team, you will play a critical role in reducing inpatient facility, ambulatory procedure visit, or professional services coding backlog.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct focused audits for coding compliance or training purposes
  • Develop standardized coding training
  • Deliver coding education/training to individuals or groups
  • Identify and educate on clinical documentation improvement opportunities
Requirements:
  • At least one of the following recognized professional coding certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CPMA, CPC, COC, CCS, or CCS-P
  • Minimum of ten years of medical coding experience within the past ten years, in more than 4 medical and surgical specialties
  • Minimum of two years of inpatient facility coding experience and two years of ambulatory surgery facility coding experience
  • Multiple specialties encompass different medical specialties that utilize ICD, E&M, CPT, and HCPCS codes
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and confidence to present complex medical coding issues and educational instruction to a diverse audience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within MTF is desirable
  • MHS GENESIS experience is desirable

This is a hybrid position, requiring occasional local travel. Physical and proof of immunizations, including COVID Vaccinations, flu, and TB assessment are required. Security clearance is necessary to start work, and US Citizenship is a requirement for a security clearance.
