Sales Clerk

Key Responsibilities:

Provide assistance to customers by addressing their inquiries and offering guidance on store policies and procedures.

Verify cash drawer amounts at the start of each shift to ensure accuracy and sufficient change availability.

Welcome customers as they enter the store, creating a friendly atmosphere.

Keep checkout areas tidy and organized to enhance the shopping experience.

Process payments through various methods including cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, and coupons.

Utilize paging systems to request assistance or information when necessary.

Restock shelves and label items with appropriate pricing.

Contribute to maintaining an orderly environment, including the movement of materials.

Qualifications:

Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.

Demonstrate attentiveness to customer needs and a commitment to service excellence.

Prior experience in retail is advantageous.

Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is beneficial.

Availability to work at least one weekend day is required.
