About the Role

As a Paramedic with AdventHealth, you will be part of a team that provides high-quality patient care and transportation services. You will work closely with our medical team to provide support, treatment, and evaluations to patients prior to and during transportation.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, intervene, and stabilize patients during transport, under the direction of the medical director and EMS protocols.
  • Provide direct medical care to patients during transport consistent with established EMS medical protocols and guidelines.
  • Establish and manage advanced airways via intubation, Laryngeal mask airway (LMA), and/or cricothyrotomy as approved by EMS medical protocols.
  • Manage during transport, Ventilators, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Left ventricular assist devices (LVAD).
  • Administer approved medications consistent with approved EMS medical protocols.
Requirements
  • Graduated from a Paramedic program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Paramedic license required from the respective state board and/or respective state equivalent.
  • Valid Class E State Driver's License (or comparable state license), or Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and driving record in accordance with facility policy.
  • Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) (May be completed after hire) or Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC).
