Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team in Arlington, Virginia.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare tissue samples for pathological examination by cutting, staining, and embedding.
  • Operate microtomes to section paraffin blocks and produce high-quality slides.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing procedures and results.
  • Communicate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in histology or a related field, or completion of an Inova Histology Tech Trainee program.
  • ASCP HT/HTL certification or eligibility for certification.
