Millwright Specialist

Methuen Construction is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. As a Millwright, you will play a vital role in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment on our construction sites.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and repair drawings to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of equipment
• Rigging, moving, and setting machinery and equipment on pads, ensuring proper alignment and stability
• Setting and alignment of baseplates associated with machinery, ensuring precise fit and function
• Aligning and coupling machinery and motor shafts, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime
• Adjusting and installing vibration isolation systems to minimize equipment stress and extend lifespan
• Layout and setting of templates associated with setting equipment baseplates, ensuring accurate placement and alignment
• Rigging and setting of machinery, pumps, equipment, and process storage tanks, ensuring safe and efficient installation
• Aligning machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, and other specialized tools
• Moving machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks, ensuring safe and efficient transportation
• Repairing and lubricating machines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime

• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and machinery, including wastewater and water treatment plants
• High school or vocational training, or relevant work experience in the construction industry
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on machinery installation and maintenance

Methuen Construction is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality. As a Millwright, you will be working on construction sites, often in challenging weather conditions and with heavy equipment. You must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and safely maneuver around construction equipment and vehicles.
