About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director for Grants & Contracts to oversee the management, budgeting, and compliance of $75 million+ in federal, state, and local grants and contracts. This role will manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and drive quality results while fostering clear communication and effective working relationships with external funders and internal colleagues.

Job Description

• Ensure Accurate and Timely Accounting: Guarantee prompt collections of receivables and accurate recognition of revenue.
• Determine Financial and Compliance Structures: Track and document contract balances, expenditures, and timelines for all grant activities.
• Mange Subcontractor and Subgrantee Agreements: Review vendor contracts for compliance, and ensure payments comply with funders' requirements.
• Partner with Program Staff: Collaborate on proposal development, identify sources for matching funds, and maximize funding from multiple sources.

Key Qualifications

• 7+ Years of Experience: In non-profit accounting or grant administration demonstrating thorough experience and knowledge of cost accounting, financial management systems, GAAP, and Federal OMB CFR-200 requirements.
• California State and Federal Grant Experience: Managing complex grants and contracts from conception to conclusion, including navigating public funding systems.
• Track Record of Leading Teams: Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Strong Oral/Written Communication Skills: Influencing budget decisions, training, and developing practical skills in others.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000 per year based on qualifications.
