Job Description:
We seek a seasoned Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building data products on a cloud analytics platform and working with large datasets to support enterprise data factories.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Developing and maintaining data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms on GCP
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver curated data products
  • Communicating technical knowledge and advocating for well-designed solutions

Requirements:
7-11 years of experience in data engineering and analytics
5+ years of SQL development experience
5+ years of analytics/data product development experience
3+ years of Google Cloud experience with solutions designed and implemented at production scale
Experience working in GCP native services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, PubSub, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Build
Experience with Airflow for scheduling and orchestration of data pipelines
Experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code provisioning
2+ years of professional development experience in Java or Python

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience converting Microsoft SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS to BigQuery
Experience converting Mainframe JCL, COBOL, and CA7
Experience converting SAS code to BigQuery
Experience converting Web Focus reports to Qlik Sense
Experience with DataPlex or other data catalogs
Experience with development ecosystems like Tekton, Git, and Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines
Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
Experience working with Agile and Lean methodologies
Team player with attention to detail
Experience with performance tuning SQL queries
