Job Summary:
CommonSpirit Health is seeking a skilled Clinic LPN to join our team at the Franciscan Weight Management Clinic in Federal Way. As a Clinic LPN, you will provide high-quality practical nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other Healthcare Provider.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for practitioner visits, including rooming patients, obtaining and recording vital signs, and documenting patient exams.
- Perform or assist with patient care, diagnostic tests, and clinical procedures to the appropriate level of training and scope of licensure.
- Assist with point-of-care testing (CLIA-waived tests only) and lab tests following established protocols and instructions.
- Administer patient medications per written provider order and track and log medication usage.
- Document procedures and interactions in patient medical records and enter, pend, and sign orders as appropriate.
- Organize exam rooms, including general cleaning, upkeep, and restocking of supplies, and prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments and maintain related equipment.
Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- One year of LPN work experience in a clinic setting or two years of acute care LPN work experience preferred.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
