Job Summary:

In collaboration with attending physicians, the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients in the Cardiology Outpatient and Inpatient areas, utilizing their expertise in cardiovascular medicine to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients in the Cardiology Outpatient and Inpatient areas, utilizing advanced clinical skills and knowledge of cardiovascular medicine.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to evaluate and manage patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to ensure timely and efficient patient care, while also prioritizing staff needs and workload.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in electronic health records and database management systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams, while also maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
Requirements:
  • At least 1-year experience in Critical Care or Telemetry inpatient care, with a strong foundation in cardiovascular medicine.
  • Masters degree or greater from an accredited School of Nursing, with a focus on Advanced Practice Nursing.
  • Current New Jersey License as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse Certification, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Current CDS and DEA licenses required, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cardiology experience, either as an Advanced Practice Provider or in Nursing, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular medicine and patient care.
Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 80 bi-weekly hours, with a flexible schedule to accommodate patient needs and staff workload.
