Position Overview

McFarland Clinic is seeking applications for a CMA/LPN role within our Express Care department. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to patient service, teamwork, and the ability to deliver exceptional care consistently.

Key Responsibilities

As a CMA/LPN, your duties will include:

  • Welcoming patients and managing the initial room process, including assessing chief complaints, recording vital signs, and reviewing medications.
  • Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Educating patients on care instructions and recommendations provided by the healthcare team.
  • Conducting point-of-care tests and managing patient communications.
Compensation

Note: A pay differential of $2.50 is available for shifts worked on weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Certification or registration from a recognized Medical Assistant certifying body (e.g., AAMA, ARMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NHA).
  • Possession of a valid State Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Mandatory reporting training for dependent adult and child abuse.
Work Schedule

Days: Monday through Friday, with alternating weekends and some holidays.

Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekend shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and holiday hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This position is structured for 30 hours per week (60 hours per pay period).

Experience

Applicants should have prior experience in a medical office environment, with a minimum of one year in a similar role.
