Laboratory Professional

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Professional to join our team at Lucas Oil Products Inc. as a Lab Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine laboratory QC sample tests on raw materials and finished products.
• Perform other laboratory analyses as directed by and under the supervision of the Senior Chemist.
• Ensure quality control of new and existing products, prepares, submits, and maintains reports and records of all sample tests.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency using a computer and basic knowledge of MS Office Software.
• Proficiency with basic arithmetic, algebra, fractions, and proportions.
• Ability to read and write in the English language.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time as necessary to complete job duties.

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

• 2-3 years prior experience in a QC laboratory with equipment such as Densitometers, FTIR, ICP, GC, pH, and Viscometers.
• Experience or course work in chemistry including associated laboratory courses.
• Experience in the petrochemical or lubrication industries.
• Experience with hazardous waste / hazardous materials handling and emergency response.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
