Geriatric Speech Specialist Position Available

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Geriatric Speech Specialist to join our team at Relient Health. This is a full-time, permanent position in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Job

In this role, you will be responsible for providing speech therapy services to geriatric patients with a variety of communication disorders. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and make a positive impact on the lives of your patients.

Requirements:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice or eligibility to apply (or CFY)
  • Graduate Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathologist program
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • This position can support a Clinical Fellowship Year Clinician (SLP-CFY)
Responsibilities

As a Geriatric Speech Specialist at Relient Health, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing geriatric patients' communication needs and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing one-on-one speech therapy sessions to patients
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Documenting patient progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Providing education to patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
