ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our team. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe handling, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of materials and products to our customers. This role ensures compliance with Workplace Health and Safety regulations as mandated by Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as company training requirements.

The Production Supervisor is accountable for the security of assets within the office and warehouse, conducting regular audits and inventory checks. This position also entails managing the maintenance and upkeep of the physical facilities, utilizing approved vendors. Additionally, the Production Supervisor will oversee local Quality Assurance activities, logistics, procurement of operating supplies, and employee training.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain receiving, shipping, inventory control, and production work cells by implementing and enforcing departmental programs and operational procedures.
  • Oversee scrap control and inventory accuracy through physical cycle counts and reconciliation with perpetual inventory records.
  • Recruit, orient, plan, and train staff while monitoring employee performance.
  • Achieve financial objectives by minimizing costs, managing overtime, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and implementing financial controls.
  • Ensure timely processing of sales orders, including picking, shipping, and invoicing.
  • Develop vendor evaluation criteria and regularly assess vendor compliance.
  • Manage warehouse and logistics operations, including equipment maintenance and production planning.
  • Engage with customers, vendors, and service providers to promote the best interests of the company.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, with 10 years of relevant work experience in a service center, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Experience with MSDS is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly MS Office.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills are highly beneficial.
  • Experience in budget development and management is a plus.
