We are seeking an experienced Senior Substation Electrical Engineer Lead to join our team.
Job Description:
- Design and develop substation physical layouts, including yard layout plans, sections, and details.
- Perform protection and control design, including panel arrangements, one lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC schematics, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring.
- Lead quality reviews of substation designs and prepare equipment specifications.
- Support clients during construction and perform field inspections and compliance documentation.
- Lead teams of professionals to ensure project success and present designs and proposals to clients, permitting authorities, and public interest groups.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred.
- Three years of substation electrical engineering experience, with consulting experience preferred.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering may be substituted for one year of experience.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a dynamic problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE/ANSI Standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong computer skills (e.g., Mathcad, WinIGS, Microsoft Office Suite).
Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
