Role Summary:

The Registered Nurse, adhering to the standards and scope of professional nursing practice, delivers comprehensive, patient-family centered care that addresses both potential and existing health issues for patients and their families.

As a Registered Nurse, under the guidance of the Nurse Manager/Director, you will have continuous opportunities to demonstrate initiative and independent professional judgment. Utilizing the nursing process, you will provide thorough, patient-centered nursing care for your assigned patients. As a key member of a nursing care team, you will oversee and guide the work of paraprofessional and other team members. This care is delivered within a customer-focused, service-oriented team that embodies the values of Mills Peninsula Health Services in a confidential setting. The Registered Nurse integrates the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the Patients' Bill of Rights, along with Professional Scope and Standards of Practice and relevant Specialty Standards into their nursing practice.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

Bachelor's degree: Preferred.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

RN - Registered Nurse of California.

BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.

ACLS Certification.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2 years of acute care clinical experience in a Medical-Surgical Oncology unit.
