Sales Engineer Job Description
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at FS-Curtis. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for selling complex scientific and technological products or services to businesses. You will work closely with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
• Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery.
• Plan and modify products to meet customer needs.
• Help clients solve problems with installed equipment.
• Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production.
• Help in researching and developing new products.

• Strong understanding of how to create highly satisfied customers.
• Firm commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to listen attentively and communicate information clearly and effectively.
• Interpersonal savvy, able to collaborate and work closely with other departments and leadership.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, process analysis, and improving business practice skills.
• Good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Outstanding time-management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable, able to work independently within a team-focused environment.
• Effective sales competency.
• Technical aptitude with air compression and rotating equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of technical products, rotating equipment, air compression products, and their applications.
• Knowledge of industrial distribution models or multi-step distribution preferred.
