Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital in Yorktown, VA. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing advanced respiratory care services to patients with various conditions, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and multiple traumas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic and advanced therapeutic procedures, as outlined by the State Department of Health and under the scope of respiratory care services.
  • Transcribe and implement physician orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain awareness of patient pH/electrolyte balance, ABG values, renal, neurological, and orthopedic functions as applicable to the delivery of respiratory care.
  • Confers with physicians to formulate and coordinate alternative forms of therapy according to patient need.
Requirements
  • BLS certification required.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Active credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
Preferred Experience
  • 1 year of related experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
