Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by accurately and safely receiving, processing, and storing incoming products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receive and process incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and completeness.
  2. Inspect shipments for damages or shortages, and initiate freight claim procedures as necessary.
  3. Prepare and maintain accurate receiving reports and documentation.
  4. Verify vendor part numbers and Johnstone stock numbers for all incoming products.
  5. Select products from inventory to fill customer orders.
  6. Prepare, pack, and scan products for inter-store transfer and customer pick-up and delivery.
  7. Process documentation necessary to ship inter-store transfers and customer orders.
  8. Load customer/delivery vehicles and assist customers with loading their orders.
  9. Inspect customer returns and ensure they are in sellable condition.
  10. Perform periodic cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
  11. Ensure safety by maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  12. Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, safely and in accordance with organizational procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Preferred: 6 months experience in warehouse operations in a wholesale environment, experience driving a forklift, and experience with computer or barcode driven inventory management systems.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The employee is regularly required to lift, carry, and load up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day; climb and balance on ladders and equipment; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; and reach, push, pull and manipulate. The employee is also frequently required to lift in excess of 100 pounds with mechanical assistance or the assistance of coworkers.

Most work is performed in a warehouse environment without air conditioning, which may include hot and cold temperatures, dust, dirt, and noise.
