Job Summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist Assistant to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the imaging department by assisting technologists, nurses, and radiologists with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist technologists with patient care and imaging procedures
  • Escort patients to and from imaging rooms
  • Transport supplies, equipment, and instruments to and from imaging rooms
  • Monitor patients' safety and comfort during their stay in the imaging department
  • Perform various ancillary duties to expedite imaging procedures
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized imaging department
  • Collaborate with the imaging team to ensure efficient and safe imaging procedures
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an educational program as a Radiology Technology student
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of radiology procedures and technical language
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities
