Position Overview

Role Summary: This role is primarily focused on leveraging professional expertise to deliver diagnosis and treatment for both acute and chronic health conditions, alongside preventive care aimed at reducing health risk factors. Additional responsibilities encompass ensuring streamlined and effective patient care through collaborative planning and problem-solving with clinic personnel.

The Advanced Practice Provider is tasked with delivering care that aligns with medical best practices and adheres to the policies and procedures established by the organization. This position is committed to safeguarding the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of patients and their families. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously while also collaborating, when necessary, with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients across all age groups.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific discipline from an accredited institution is required, along with Board Certification from a National PA Certification Board as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. A current Virginia license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with prescription authority, as well as a current DEA number, NPI number, and Basic Life Support certification, are mandatory. Candidates should have five to seven years of progressive experience in a healthcare environment. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with professional interpersonal abilities, are essential. Proficiency in Basic Life Support techniques is also required.
