We are looking for a Purchasing Analyst to collaborate closely with our Supply Chain Team. This pivotal role is integral to the procurement and management of goods and services, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are primed for success. The Purchasing Analyst will engage with multiple facets of the organization, including production, program management, engineering, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong competencies in decision-making, cost optimization, negotiation, project oversight, contract management, and expenditure management.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee purchasing for direct materials.
- Formulate and execute sourcing strategies for critical spacecraft components.
- Negotiate pricing and terms for designated sourcing categories.
- Manage strategic spending and budget reporting for direct materials.
- Identify potential new suppliers and drive continuous enhancements within the supply chain.
- Establish, maintain, and manage direct contracts, with the ability to negotiate terms as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to anticipate and fulfill business needs.
- Assist in the development and execution of purchasing strategies.
- Effectively manage material flow, including logistics, inventory, and material handling within Apex manufacturing facilities.
- U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related business field.
- 3-6 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or operations.
- Proven track record of achieving cost reductions.
- Demonstrated success in ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage with leadership.
- Analytical prowess to dissect data, expenditures, and purchasing metrics for continuous improvement.
