Job Summary

This is a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant position at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced Level I trauma center, providing bedside and department-based services to patients. The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, and motivated, with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Occupational Therapists in patient-related activities, performing delegated tasks that are commensurate with a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant's education and experience.
  • Implement treatment procedures in accordance with established goals and plans, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  • Communicate with patients, family members, and other team members to explain treatment plans and provide updates.
  • Monitor patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, adhering to departmental and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of services delivered.
  • Assist with maintenance and monitoring of work schedules.
Requirements
  • An Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies, issued by an American Occupational Therapy Association-approved program.
  • Certification as a Licensed/Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, issued by the State Board of Occupational Therapy.
  • CPR certification.
