We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Services Specialist to join our team at Johns Manville. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the coordination, scheduling, and delivery of various support services to our facility, including general human resources and communication, accounts payable/accounts receivable, and purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the coordination and scheduling of support services, including human resources, communication, and purchasing activities.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and reporting, payroll, and maintenance of personnel files and records.
- Interpret policies and procedures, counsel staff members, and provide assistance as needed.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure new hire protocol is followed.
- Oversee payroll data validation between Time & Attendance and the payroll system.
- Validate employee eligibility and earnings for annual CIP bonus payouts.
- Maintain employee data in HRIS system, including annual rate increases, employee deductions, etc.
- Maintain confidential personnel files and act as primary point of contact for HR questions and requests.
- May assist with monthly Labor reporting and payroll account reconciliation.
- May assist supervisors/managers in conducting employee evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Organize company functions, parties, picnics, and celebrations.
- Oversee communication efforts, including plant newsletter, company announcements, compliance bulletin boards, and quarterly town hall meeting.
- Ensure accurate invoices and payment processing to non-contracted vendors.
- Purchase basic office/production/laboratory/safety supplies as needed.
- Track, investigate, and resolve accounting issues.
- High school/technical school diploma with a minimum of 3 years general human resources, payroll, and basic accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Ability to learn and understand other software applications, such as SAP, online travel reservations, and electronic expense reporting.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
