Emergency Response Helicopter Pilot

Pilot Benefits:
Newly hired pilots may qualify for various incentives based on current operational requirements, including:
- Competitive starting salary ranging from $83,640 to $92,004, contingent on experience
- Geographic pay adjustment between 2% to 30%, based on assigned location
- Sign-on bonus of $15,000 and a retention bonus of $40,000 after three years
- 7/7 work schedule
- Complimentary 24-hour housing available at all bases
The pilot is responsible for ensuring that all operations involving company aircraft adhere to Federal Aviation Regulations, the Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all applicable state and local laws.
- Operate the aircraft safely and efficiently, focusing on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
- Monitor weather forecasts and current conditions
- Conduct thorough preflight inspections before each shift and prior to accepting any flights, documenting any discrepancies in the engineering log and notifying maintenance as necessary
- Arrive for duty well-rested and prepared, staying informed about weather updates
Experience:
Minimum of 2000 hours of total flight time, including:
- 1500 hours in helicopters
- 1000 hours as pilot in command of helicopters
- 500 hours in turbine aircraft
- 100 hours of night flying without aids, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
Previous experience in Helicopter Air Ambulance operations is preferred.
Education and Credentials:
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
- High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements:
- Must not exceed a weight limit of 230 pounds while dressed in flight suit and boots.
