We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach 2D and 3D drawing courses at Northern VA Community College. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in drawing from a regionally accredited university or college.
Key Responsibilities- Teach 2D and 3D drawing courses in-person, late afternoon/evening/weekend classes.
- Maintain accurate records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of NOVA and the VCCS.
- Stay current with developments in the field of drawing.
- Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in drawing from a regionally accredited university or college.
- Ability to work with a diverse student population.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to use instructional technology.
- Fine Arts M.F.A. degree from an accredited university or college and at least 18 graduate credits in the teaching field.
- Prior experience teaching in higher education.
- Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online formats.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment.
