Position Overview:
Compensation starts at $22/hour with a Sign-On Bonus Available.
Under the guidance of a licensed Pharmacist, this role is essential in facilitating efficient and precise pharmacy operations, adhering to the policies and procedures of Option Care Health, as well as state regulations and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prescription Management:
- Process prescription refills for various medications, including high-risk drugs.
- Handle new medication prescriptions.
- Measure, mix, and prepare pharmaceuticals.
- Package and label products appropriately.
- Provide mentorship to Clinical Pharmacy Technician I staff.
- Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through validation and reporting of incoming supplies.
- Create purchase orders to manage shortages effectively.
- Ensure the removal of expired materials.
- Coordinate delivery schedules.
- Patient Interaction:
- Gather and maintain patient data for assessments.
- Address non-routine inquiries and requests from patients.
- Facility and Supply Management:
- Sanitize work surfaces and laminar flow hoods.
- Organize and maintain supplies.
Supervisory Role:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months of relevant experience.
- Licensure or registration as required by state regulations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience in delivering customer service to both internal and external clients, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a basic level.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Capability to lift at least 30 lbs.
Travel Requirements:
No travel is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in home health settings is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and internal equity. Minimum pay is $17.84.
