Job Summary
As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for administering the nursing program in a long term care facility. This includes maintaining standards of resident care, facilitating the optimization of the geriatric care process, and ensuring compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices. You will also be responsible for scheduling staff, conducting employee performance reviews, and providing nursing care to residents as needed.
Responsibilities
- Administer the nursing program in a long term care facility
- Maintain standards of resident care
- Facilitate the optimization of the geriatric care process
- Ensure compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices
- Schedule staff
- Conduct employee performance reviews
- Provide nursing care to residents as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required
- Five years nursing experience required
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
