Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. As a key member of our rehabilitation staff, you will work closely with physical therapists to deliver exceptional patient care and support.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity for a Physical Therapy Assistant who is passionate about helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses and achieve their optimal level of function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engaging exercises and activities to enhance patient participation in physical therapy sessions.
  • Provide counseling and consultations to new patients, their family members, and caregivers to ensure a smooth transition into our care.
  • Foster collaboration with physical therapists to set and achieve patient goals, identifying areas of progress and challenges.
  • Support physical therapists in direct patient care according to individualized plans of care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by preparing equipment and exam rooms, adhering to proper sterilization and safety procedures.
  • Review patient files prior to appointments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
  • Accurately complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Pursue ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements
  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • Proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
  • Experience handling sensitive patient information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common software and hardware issues related to speech pathology tools.
  • Physical stamina to work primarily in a standing position and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with patients, families, or colleagues.
  • Attention to detail when handling and documenting critical medical information.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
