Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Scientist Intern to join our team at our Lakeland, FL office. As a key member of our Perfumery and Beauty Ingredients team, you will assist in various laboratory projects, perform wet chemistry analysis, and contribute to the development of new products.
Responsibilities- Perform specific gravity and acid or base determination by Titration.
- Assist in sample preparation and analysis using Gas and Liquid Chromatography.
- Prepare aqueous broth solutions and agar plates according to laboratory SOP's.
- Organize and label laboratory equipment files.
- Update equipment electronic P&IDs and provide new labels for missing valve numbers tags.
- Currently working on completion of a Bachelor's degree in Biological, Chemical, or Chemical Engineering Science or related field.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability of mathematical concepts.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations to synthesize and parse data.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
