As a Registered Nurse in our Coronary Care unit, you will play a critical role in the care and management of patients with acute and chronic heart failure and other cardiovascular conditions.
This 26-bed telemetry unit is part of our Cardiovascular Institute, where you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
About the Role:
- Provide individualized care to patients of all ages, utilizing delegation and critical thinking skills to ensure quality service.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate an interdisciplinary plan of care, revising as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer treatments and medications accurately, utilizing automated computer systems and electronic medical records.
- Participate in ongoing assessments, documenting and using this information to develop a plan of care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
- Obtain CPR, and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
- Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC) and ability to successfully complete orientation and competency requirements.
