Job Description

Fusion Audio Video is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As a licensed electrician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial projects with confidence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test electrical systems in compliance with local codes and regulations.
  • Install new distribution panels, outlets, fixtures, and switches.
  • Perform maintenance on motors, controls, lighting systems, generators, and other related components.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues to identify root causes of problems.
  • Develop strategies for efficient use of Fusion resources to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Evaluate existing electrical equipment and circuits to determine safety standards adherence.
  • Pull wiring, cables, and grounds through cable trays and conduits.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, technical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
  • Replace defective circuit breakers, fuses, switches, outlets, and other components.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems and components to locate defects and malfunctions.
  • Connect wiring to power equipment and lighting fixtures with job-related hand tools.
  • Install and maintain electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards and codes.
  • Install and wire lighting control panels.
  • Install lighting fixtures.
  • Understand centralized lighting systems.
  • Understand and perform basic AV Technician functions such as cable terminations, TV mounting, and speaker installation.
  • Provide Project Manager with daily project status updates and maintain project documentation on a daily basis.
  • Complete Fusion required training and certifications.
  • Adhere to and maintain Fusion quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Licensed electrician to operate in both NC and SC. NC Limited Electrical Contracting License preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented and organized; multi-tasker.
  • Self-motivated, task-driven, and able to apply "best practices" theory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work 4/10 schedule.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to travel overnight for training and installations as needed.
  • Clean background check.
  • Maintains valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on ladders and lifts at high elevations.
