About the Role

At Applied Industrial Technologies, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Associate to join our team. As a key member of our service center operations team, you will be responsible for a variety of duties that require strong customer service skills and a proactive approach to meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an individual with experience in warehouse and customer service duties, who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and use their strong communication skills to build customer loyalty.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Picking up and delivering orders, shipping and/or receiving materials, and maintaining stock areas and inventory
  • Using strong customer service skills when interacting with customers at the service center and when delivering orders
  • Working closely with the service center operations team to provide first-class service for our customers
  • Performing various warehouse duties, including receiving and verifying incoming materials, maintaining stock areas, preparing sales orders, and verifying merchandise

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ year of proven customer service and warehouse experience, ideally in a distribution or parts counter environment
  • Basic computer skills and accurate data entry skills
  • Math and mechanical aptitude, basic reading skills, and the ability to use proper English grammar, written and verbal
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR)
  • The ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
