About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consulting Utility Forester to join our team at Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe delivery of power to communities across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact property owners and public agencies to discuss pruning and removals
  • Conduct thorough tree and brush inventories to identify potential hazards
  • Evaluate and inspect hazard trees to ensure public safety
  • Plan and coordinate work with tree contractors to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Manage and analyze data to inform decision-making
  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees and the public
  • Enforce on-the-job safety practices and protocols
  • Operate and maintain equipment and vehicles
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements
  • Degree in forestry or a related field, or equivalent experience in utility line clearance
  • Strong species identification skills and knowledge of invasive species
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
  • Proficient in map navigation and data collection software
