Home Health Therapist Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist for a job in Falls Church, Virginia. This position offers a salary of around $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionThis role involves providing outpatient physical therapy services to clients in designated senior living communities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and manage time effectively, as well as possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities- Making outpatient visits to clients in designated senior living communities
- Performing diagnostic tests and measurements, such as mobility/range of joints, transfer status, stability, patterns and appearance of ambulation, strength and endurance of muscles, balance testing, and safety assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans, including manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and other interventions
- Continually assessing and revising the Physical Therapy plan of care, and participating in multidisciplinary care plan meetings, as appropriate
- Educating and instructing clients, family members, or community staff, in therapy services and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living
- Accurately documenting observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to client care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet
The ideal candidate will have:
- A current VA Physical Therapist license
- Outpatient experience, although not required
- Graduation from a program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Dynamic and strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
