Job Title: Associate Project Manager

Leidos Engineering is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our Power Delivery Solutions team. As a valued team member, you will work alongside project managers, lead engineers, and account managers to support various electric utility clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project managers in managing transmission line design projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities.
  • Ensure project costs, schedule, and scope are managed, including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limits.
  • Communicate with clients, internal project teams, engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Leads to track and execute client deliverables.
  • Assist with the preparation of bid documents, cost estimates, and responses to Requests for Proposal.
  • Complete monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed time frames.
Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of demonstrated experience in project management and/or project coordinating.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to track cost and schedule status of assigned tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services.
  • Ideal Candidates will have a desire to obtain PMP Certification.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project or P6).
  • Experience working with/previous exposure to US electric utilities.
  • Previous exposure to electrical and/or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or financial management tools.
