We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Package Handler to join our team at Spee-Dee Delivery Service, Inc. As a Package Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate sorting and delivery of packages to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Unload freight from fleet vehicles and accurately sort packages by zip code, city, or state
- Scan package barcode labels for tracking purposes
- Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
- Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet productivity and quality standards
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouse that can weigh up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
- Ability to work with all types of freight, including hazardous material, perishable food, and live animals
