Packaging Laborer Job Summary

Florida Crystals is seeking a skilled Packaging Laborer to join our team in the Packaging Department. As a Packaging Laborer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to packaging, cleaning, and reprocessing sugar products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform necessary functions to package, seal, and convey sugar packages and various packing stations producing product in weights from 1 to 2000 pounds.
  • Operate industrial hand trucks to transport palletized materials.
  • Stand and walk for 6-8+ hours per day, lift up to 50 pounds, and grasp, push, and pull.
  • Wear PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and a hard hat.
Requirements:
  • Rotating shifts, day, swing, and graveyard, on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Overtime is required on a daily and weekly basis as scheduled.
Working Conditions:

Packaging Laborer is exposed to refined sugar and sugar dust, cleaning soaps, lubricants, and work around moving equipment. Packaging stations are noisy, and hearing protection is required.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $24.31
