Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Shield AI. As a key member of our technical program management team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful execution and delivery of technical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects with speed, efficiency, and quality.
  • Assist in the coordination of project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints using project management tools.
  • Communicate technical subject matter to subject matter experts, customers, and executives to achieve various objectives such as status, decision-making, issue identification, and direction.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in the development of executive-level status reports for presentation to the Technical Program Manager, customers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or 2 years with a PhD; or equivalent work experience.
  • B.S. Degree in a STEM field. Aerospace, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with concepts of systems engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software development, and control theory.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Experience with project management and technical communication.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to support travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Hands on manufacturing, flight testing, design engineering, or systems engineering experience.
  • Experience working on mission critical DOD systems.
  • Experience with DOD acquisition.
  • Active or ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Compensation

$115,620 - $173,430 a year
