Job Title: RN Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist

UnityPoint Health is seeking a skilled RN Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist to join our team at the Robert Young Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to adolescents and their families, promoting mental health and well-being.

About the Role:
  • Provide acute nursing care to adolescents with behavioral health needs, utilizing the principles of Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat behavioral health problems, mental disorders, and comorbid conditions across the lifespan.
  • Facilitate coordination of care with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care plans and individual treatment plans.
  • Demonstrate Trinity's principles and values when interacting with patients, families, visitors, providers, and co-workers.

Responsibilities:
  • Use the nursing process to deliver high-quality care, considering the age and educational level of the patient.
  • Collect and synthesize comprehensive health data to inform care decisions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing patient-centered care.
  • Evaluate progress towards expected outcomes, making adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
  • One year of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency.
  • Basic Life Support (BSL) certification and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.
