Tact Staff is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN Manager to join our team. As a Travel Nurse RN Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Assume shift responsibility for the overall assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care on the unit.
- Carry out hospital and nursing service mission, vision, values, and strategic planning, clinical management, patient care, budgeting, financial management, and quality management on the unit.
- Quality and Performance Improvement
- Maintain current knowledge of and ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards of care, including CMS, IHI, CAP, etc.
- Develop and implement quality/performance improvement programs, instruct staff, and implement new and improved standards.
- Operational Performance
- Develop, prepare, and monitor personnel, supply, and equipment budgets in collaboration with staff and support department directors.
- Develop long-term unit staffing schedules and ensure adequate daily coverage in accordance with established staffing needs.
- Clinical Practice and Patient Care
- Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer to establish nursing care standards and evaluate staff compliance.
- Facilitate the effective provision of support services essential to patient care.
- Human Resource Development and Management
- Educate and evaluate staff.
- Educate staff in new and existing department procedures and systems.
- Makes recommendations and provides opportunities for growth and development of personnel and arranges for appropriate education and training.
- Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Skills
- Excellent creative skills, ideas to improve existing programs.
- Services, processes, ideas that have impact on this job and the department.
- Physical Demands
- Involves standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, and bending.
- May include some repetitive motions.
- Experience
- Must have acute care experience.
- Education
- Must have a Master's degree.
- Shift and Schedule
- Must be available to work night shifts, evening shifts, and PT shifts.
- Language
- Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
